My favorite: Rapunzel :)
This is a cute look that takes inspiration from Disney's Rapunzel
character. The dress is much more simple and the floral bobby pins nod
to the flowers in Rapunzel's hair in the movie. The jewelry and other
accessories bring the entire outfit together nicely.
Jasmine from Aladin :)
Who can forget Aladdin's Princess Jasmine? Her outfit consisted of
turquoise harem pants and a top. This outfit uses harem pants but
changes the color and updates the shirt so it doesn't show the mid
drift. The accessories play up on color and add cool patterns.
Cinderella *.*
Everyone's favorite "rags to riches" story involves a mistreated young
woman that ends up being rescued with the help of the ones that truly
cared about her. Her outfits in the film were hues of blue and white and
these outfits show a way to wear her style in different occasions. We
like that they took a chance with the black and grey items, it pulls the
outfits together very nicely.
Tiana :)
"The Princess and the Frog" was about a girl trying to make it during
the Jazz Age in New Orleans' French Quarter. This outfit is inspired by
the styles that were popular there in that time and it plays on the
colors that were used in most of her wardrobe throughout the movie.
Mulan :)
This was a beautiful tale about a woman breaking the social norms and
rules in order to be herself and do something truly great. We like that
this outfit could stand alone but when paired with the accessories, its
inspiration becomes obvious and in that sense, it breaks some rules too.
Little Mermaid :)
We've seen plenty of dresses and shirt/pant combinations inspired by The
Little Mermaid but we think it's a stroke of genius to use this
inspiration for a swimsuit. The sandals are a nice touch since the women
that wear this will have the advantage of legs instead of a big fin.
Ariel-Kiss the girl scene :)
An outfit inspired by the classic "Kiss the Girl" scene where Ariel and
Prince Eric go on their first date together. We like the colors in this
outfit and the small bow is a nice detail. The nautical charm bracelet
is perfect.
Aurora :)
This outfit is seriously creative. It doesn't take any of the obvious
ideas for remaking an outfit, instead it draws inspiration from cuts and
colors and creates something unique. The sandals match her hair color,
the purple scarf matches her shawl and the idea of doing shorts instead
of a dress is genius.
A look inspired by Sleeping Beauty :)
Sleeping Beauty is one of the oldest Disney princess films. It has a
special place in the hearts of women of all ages and we feel that this
outfit truly captures her wardrobe. The pink dress is classic but the
blue shoes and little accessories are what really makes this outfit so
creative.
Pocahontas again :)
This natural look has become very popular in the last few years. The
colors and the fringe on the purse match the details of Pocahontas'
dress. The turquoise accessories are inspired by her necklace and the
open shoes are a comfortable alternative.
Pocahontas :)
This is a very subtle take on Pocahontas' style in the Disney film. It's
a beautiful dress for casual or professional styles and when paired
with a matching pump it gives a very natural feel. We love the necklace
and feathered hairband, they add great detail without making the outfit
look like a costume.
Beauty and The Beast :)
This is an update on the yellow ballgown Belle wore in "Beauty and the
Beast". It's classy and could be worn for a formal event that involves
dancing such as a wedding, dance or party. The teapot necklace is a
subtle reminder of the wonderful story and adds a cute detail to the
outfit.
Snow white :)
We like that they decided to reverse the colors by putting blue as the
bottom and yellow for the top. This would be an easy look to pull off
without anyone thinking immediately of Snow White making it perfect for
daily wear.
Belle :)
This is a casual adaptation of the yellow ballgown Belle wore in "Beauty
and the Beast". We like that it's simple enough to wear as a casual
outfit and that it could easily be layered if it needed to be. We also
love the little details that nod to the most memorable parts of the
story like the mirror charm on the necklace and the rose on the ring.
Real Life Disney Princesses :)
There are so many great ways to recreate Snow White's outfit but this is
one of our favorites. It's modern, casual and easy to put together. The
Vans are a great contrast of traditional princess style and the bodycon
skirt is fun and flirty.
